When thinking of travelling to Belize there are is a range of factors to consider and the best time to visit is completely personal to you. Although when it comes to the weather it may be best to avoid the hurricane season…!
Climate: Hot and humid year-round, Belize has an official rainy season from June to November, although rainfall varies greatly according to the area of the country you’re in. At this time the temperature is actually quite pleasant, however the hurricane season does coincide with this, peaking in September and November. Most visitors will make for the months of December to May, which has the dual benefit of avoiding the hurricanes. The months from November to February are particularly good if you’re keen to avoid the highest temperatures, as they tend to be cooler.
Tourism does peak as the weather does, December to February being the busiest; this may be something to consider when planning your trip.
Bear in mind that summer in the northern hemisphere is winter in the southern. So travelling to this part of the world is ideal for a tropical winter break!
