Climate
Temperate Argentina’s seasons are the opposite of our own, so the summer months are November to February, with Christmas and New Year obviously being peak season within that time. Spring or autumn (September/October or March/April) are delightful times to be in the Lake District, Patagonia and Buenos Aires, as the city can get very hot during the summer. If you plan to hike in the deep south, you really need to avoid the winter months of May to August as conditions can be harsh and there will be a lot of snow. The arid northwest region, across the Andes from Chile’s Atacama desert, is very hot during the summer and therefore most pleasant between April and October.

Public Holidays
New Years Day (Jan 1), Good Friday, Truth and Justice Day (Mar 24), Labor Day (May 2), First Argentine Government (May 25), National Sovereignty Day (Jun 10), Flag Day (Jun 20), Independence Day (Jul 9), Anniversary of the Death of San Martin (August 17), Dia de la Raza (Oct 12), Immaculate Conception Day (Dec 8), Chirstmas (Dec 25).
